CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has published the announced the JEE (Mains) 2018 schedule and has published the prospectus as well.

Key dates

a) Start date of application : 1 Dec 2017

b) Last date to apply : 1 Jan 2018

c) Date of offline exam (Paper 1 as well as Paper 2) : 8 April 2018

d) Date of online exam (Paper 1 only) : 15 & 16 April 2018

Test centres ooutside India : Bahrain, Colombo (only computer based test), Dhaka, Dubai, Kathmandu (only computer based test), Muscat, Qatar, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore (only computer based test)

JEE-Mains-2018 shall be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering programmes in NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institutes). It will also be an eligibility test for JEE-Advanced-2018, which students have to take if they aspire for admission in IITs / ISM Dhanbad.

The States of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Nagaland and Odisha have joined JEE (Mains) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to institutes in these States, which were earlier conducting their State level entrance exams, are also advised to apply online for JEE-Mains-2018.
